Ingredients
Cut four large, ripe tomatoes
200 cc of grated mozzarella;
1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves.
Two tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
one tablespoon balsamic sauce;
freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste;
optional fresh arugula leaves
Getting Ready
- Prepare the ingredients: First, arrange the mozzarella and tomato slices in a row on a sizable plate that has been lightly cushioned. To enhance the taste, you can place some fresh arugula leaves in between the peppers.
- Add some fresh basil: sandwich the cheese and tomatoes between whole basil leaves. Not only does basil bring flavor and freshness, but it also goes very well with mozzarella cheese.
- Dressing: Drizzle the ready portions with extra virgin olive oil. To bring the dish together and create a contrast of flavors, drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar.
- Season: Add some salt and some recently plucked fruit. It should have a mild flavor so that the natural tastes of basil, mozzarella, and tomato come through.
- Serve: As a cool appetizer or side dish, serve right away. This salad caprese
